Nowhere in the Alto Douro will you find more magnificent river and vineyard views than at this elegant six-room house, owned by the same winemaking family for nearly 350 years. The halls are enlivened by museum-level displays of folkloric dresses, and the perch – up a steep cobbled road in the hilltop village of Casal de Loivos – is spectacular.
